Carolyn Dettmer
Carolyn Dettmer is a northern Michigan native, with family roots dating back to the 1600’s. After graduating from Petoskey High School, Carolyn attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette, drawing inspiration from the beauty of the Upper Peninsula. Carolyn continued her education at the University of Michigan, graduating from the A. Alfred Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. Carolyn began her architectural design career in San Francisco, California. She designed for several top firms in northern California, working in Napa Valley, Carmel, Palo Alto, and San Francisco. In 2010, Carolyn returned to her northern Michigan roots. She worked as a designer and project manager for acclaimed architect, Nicholas J. White.
Carolyn offers more than 20 years of residential and commercial building design experience. She has a holistic, client-centered philosophy, designing spaces that are a true reflection of the owner.
